Hotel Guide

INTRODUCTION

Originally built in the late 1950s, the Sands Hotel & Spa was recently re-imagined in 2018 to become the first designer boutique hotel in the upscale community of Indian wells. Designed by renowned interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, one of Architectural Digest’s Top 100 designers in the world, the hotel has emerged as an upscale luxury boutique known for its Moroccan influence and midcentury nods.

The Sands Hotel & Spa features 46 guest rooms, each with its own unique flare and distinct environment. All guest rooms and suites feature Acqua di Parma bath amenities, full-size in- room mini bars with vintage crystal stemware, Waterworks brass fixtures, Revival New York linens, and in-room movie system designed to work with each guest’s personal phone.

We also invite you to sample the culinary delights of our on-site restaurant, the Pink Cabana. The Pink Cabana is an ingredient driven restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine with a Moroccan influence. Chef Jason Niederkorn has received world renowned accolades from Condé Nast Traveler, LA times and Forbes, amongst others. Guests are welcome to enjoy their dining experience in the MLB designed dining room, Al Fresco, poolside or in-room.

The signature spa is located in the serene olive grove section of the property. The spa features three intimate treatment rooms, including a couple’s treatment room. Combining traditional Western techniques with detoxifying minerals and botanicals from all over the world, the spa at the Sands Hotel & Spa will leave your body, as well as your mind, with a sense of rejuvenation.

BATHROBES

Enjoy the comfort of our 100% cotton signature bathrobes. 2 robes are provided in each room for Guest use. If you require additional bathrobes, please call the front desk from your room. Can’t live without them? Our Signature Robes are available for purchase.

BUSINESS SERVICES

The front desk staff will be more than happy to print documents, boarding passes and handle any copying needs you may have. Please dial front desk.

CAR/TAXI SERVICES

Town Cars, Limousines and Taxi services can be arranged through the front desk. Uber is also available from your phone

CATERING SERVICES

We offer a variety of catering services, from lavish to modest, for all of your special event needs (weddings, birthdays, business functions, etc.). Please contact our Director of Sales for any inquires. Please dial the front desk. Advance notice (48 hours) is required for formal tours.

CHROMECAST

Guests are welcome to enjoy their own entertainment from their phone. Our in-room movie system allows guests to stream their own entertainment onto their in-room televisions and are welcome to stream subscription services such as Netflix and Amazon. Directions are found on your television guide.

CHECKOUT

Check-out time is 12 pm daily. Late check-outs may be requested on the morning of your departure. Late check-outs are granted based on occupancy.

CONCIERGE SERVICES

Our front desk staff is available 24/7 to assist you with event tickets, dinner reservations, babysitting services, car rentals, movie information, boarding passes, business services, future reservations, or local activities. Please dial front desk.

CONVENIENCE ITEMS

Have you forgotten something? For your convenience, the front desk keeps a supply of personal necessities such as toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, feminine products, shower caps, humidifier, etc. Please dial front desk.

DRY CLEANING/LAUNDRY

Services are available as follows:

  • Fluff and Fold: Daily, out by 10am back by 5pm. (this would have to be done in house and could damage clothes used with our chemicals)
  • Dry Cleaning: Monday-Friday, next day service. Friday drop off will return Saturday. Must be dropped off by 10am.

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping will service your room daily to refresh towels and toiletries, remake beds and empty trash bins. It is customary that we replace towels and robes left on the bathroom floor. Linens are changed every third day.

ICE

There is an ice bucket in every guest room. For ice please dial the front desk for in-room delivery. Please dial front desk.

INTERNET ACCESS

Wireless internet access is available throughout our property and is covered in your daily resort fee.

Menus listing dining options and hours of service for our on-site restaurant are available on the nightstand.

IN-ROOM ENTERTAINMENT

The latest movies, sports, news and entertainment programs are available in-room from Sonifi Entertainment on a pay-per-view basis. Please note that once a movie has been purchased the front desk is unable to remove the charge from your guest folio. The in-room entertainment system also has the ability for guests to cast their own digital content from their phone to the television. Please follow the prompts on the television set to set up google chromecast to your phone. Please dial front desk for assistance.

MAIL SERVICES

It is our pleasure to assist you in arranging package pickup and delivery, including FedEx, UPS, etc. U.S. postage stamps are available for purchase at the front desk. Please dial front desk.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

In the event of a serious emergency, please dial 911.
Non-emergency needs: Our front desk staff would be more than happy to provide you with directions to local hospitals and/or pharmacies. Please dial front desk.

MESSAGES

Guests and visitors are welcome to leave messages at the front desk for distribution. Voice-mail messages can be retrieved by pushing the button on your phone marked VOICEMAIL.

MINI BAR

A minibar and small refrigerator are available in all guest rooms and suites, and are fully stocked with a variety of snacks and libations to tempt your discerning pallet. The menu and price list can be found in the snack box. Items are refreshed daily. Charges will post to your room.

NEWSPAPER DELIVERY

Daily newspaper is available during morning coffee service.

PARKING

Valet / Self-Parking is included in the cost of your resort fee. If the Valet is unavailable, please stop by the front desk to retrieve your keys. If you choose to self-park, parking is available in designated spaces directly in front of the hotel.

PETS

Our hotel warmly welcomes your four-legged companion. Dogs (up to 40 lbs) in pet-friendly patio rooms only. We respectfully request that you clean up after your pet; disposable scoopers are available at the front desk (dial extension 0). A $100 per-pet fee applies.

SAFES

An in-room safe for your valuables is available in all guest rooms and suites. The safe can be found in the closet inside the drawer. If you have difficulty opening or locking your safe, please do not hesitate to call the front desk for assistance.

SECURITY

Because your safety and security are of the utmost importance, our trained security personnel patrol the grounds nightly. We urge you not to leave valuables in your car. Every effort will be made to ensure that your vehicle is secure; however, Sands Hotel & Spa cannot be responsible for theft or vandalism.

SMOKING

No smoking is permitted in any of our guest rooms or suites. A cleaning fee of $150 will be applied to your bill if this policy is not respected.

SPA

Our Moroccan-inspired spa facility offers a variety of soothing massage services to relax and refresh your mind and body. Individual and Couple sessions are available. For a list of services, visit our Spa page. To schedule your appointment, please dial front desk for assistance.

THERMOSTATS

Your room features an environmentally-friendly thermostat set to maintain a constant, comfortable temperature. To adjust the heating or cooling, use the “UP” or “DOWN” facing arrows.

WAKE-UP CALLS

Our front desk staff will gladly assist you with wake up calls and scheduling early morning taxi service for you trip to the airport. Please dial front desk for assistance.
